Happu - Dhivehi guess the word game

Can you try to explain the word “hukuru” without using the words “dhuvas, mendhuru, hafthaa and namaadhu?

ހައްޕު ކުޅޭނީ 2 ޓީމަކަށް ބަހާލައިގެންނެވެ.

އަމިއްލަ ޓީމުގެ ބައިވެދރިން ލައްވާ، ކާޑުގެ މަތީގައިވާ ބަސް ދިމާކުރެވޭތޯ ބަލާށެވެ. ބަސް ކިޔާދޭއިރު، ކާޑުގެ ތިރީގައިވާ ހައްޕު ބަސްތައް ބޭނުމެއް ނުކުރެވޭނެއެވެ. ދިމާވެއްޖެނަމަ، ޕޮއިންޓެއްގެ ގޮތުގާ، ކާދު ޓީމާއި ހަވާލުކޮށްފާ އިތުރު ކާޑެއް ނަގާށެވެ.

ކޮންމެ ޓީމަކަށްވެސް އެބުރެއްގާ ލިބޭ 2 މިނިޓްގެ ވަޤުތުކޮޅުތެރޭގައި ވީހާވެސް ގިނަ ބަހެއް ދިމާކުރެވޭތޯ ބަލާނީއެވެ.

އޮޅިގެން ހައްޕުބަހެއް ބުނެވިއްޖެނަމަ، ކާޑަށް ފާރަލައިގެންތިބި އިދިކޮޅު ޓީމުގެ ބައިވެރިން އަޑުގޮއްވާ ބޯޓަށް ފިތާލުމަށްފަހު، އެކާޑު އަތުލާށެވެ. މިއީ ބައިކޮޅަށް ޕޮއިންޓެކެވެ. ގަޑި ހަމަވުމުން 2ވަނަ ޓީމު ކުޅޭނީއެވެ.

ހަމަހަމައަށް 2 ޓީމަށްވެސް ކުޅެން ފުރުޞަތު ލިބުމުން، ކުޅުން ނިންމާލާފާ، ކޮންމެ ޓީމެއްގެވެސް އަތުގާވާ ކާޑުތައް ގުނާލާށެވެ. ގިނަ ކާޑު އެއްކުރެވުނު ޓީމު މޮޅުވީއެވެ. 

"Happu" is a new team player Dhivehi card game where we have to explain the word on the top of the card to our teammates without using the "happu" words below it. The team tries guess and collect as many cards as points before the two minute timer runs out. If the player accidentally mentions a "happu" word, team two who is spying on the card will squeeze the toy boat and snatch the card from the team one player as a point for themselves. After the timer runs out, team two commences their turn. After an equal number of turns, the teams will count their cards to determine the winning team.

Most of our words are challenging for children to explain, so trying to explain as many as possible to their teammates before the sand timer runs out is a challenging task which helps to develop their thinking skills and fluency in speech.

A few rounds of Happu later they will likely know a bunch of new Dhivehi words!
