This arid exotic is a globe-shaped cactus suitable for growing in conservatories or on patios, decks and balconies that are in full sun. When in flower, the Barrel Cactus sports a yellow flower with open buds in daylight hours which, on a mature plant, will bloom around late spring and throughout summer.

Watering: Only water when the soil looks very dry in spring to autumn. Before, and in the winter months, barely water the plant as it may cause some rot.

Treat them a little mean
